1. DEFINE THE FOLLOWING TERMS.

2. MATCH THE FOLLOWING DEFINITIONS TO THEIR APPLICABLE TERMS.

(a) Unclear, able to be understood in more than one way.

(b) An expression. Idea or practice that is copied from others and used without much thought as to what it really means; an expression or action that has become meaningless through overuse.

(c) The dictionary meaning of a word.

(d) A contrast or discrepancy between what is said and what is meant or between what happens and what is expected to happen in life and in literature.

(e) A humorous imitation, usually exaggerated; a take off.

(f) A harsh or bitter form of derision; a harsher form of irony.

(g) The recurrence of accent or stress in lines of verse.
